The official tour showcasing the ICC T20 World Cup trophy, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in 2026, was formally inaugurated at the Presidential Secretariat under President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s patronage. The trophy will be on display in major cities across Sri Lanka from January 21st to 24th, giving cricket fans a chance to see it up close, including during the Sri Lanka vs. England One-Day International match at the R. Premadasa International Stadium in Colombo.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will kick off on February 7, 2026, and conclude with the final on March 8, 2026, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will feature 20 teams competing across eight venues, with five in India and three in Sri Lanka
